About the Film

Duvar is

An award winning short film shot July of 2020 and is based on actual events of one man's experience grappling with an unjust criminal justice system while attempting to save his daughter's life.

WHY NOW

During a time of social unrest and a new racial reckoning we’ve felt it vital to challenge social and structural inequity. Telling this story has challenged the media narrative surrounding this case. This conviction relied on circumstantial evidence and debatable witness testimony, the reasons why we were drawn to the story. The full story was not told in national news.
